Collaboration is key when implementing a program for an individual. All caregivers must be a part of the team and plan effectively to ensure success for all.

About Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is science of behavior that focuses on improving socially significant behavior by manipulating the environment. ABA utilizes known behavior to enhance positive change (Applied) while documenting Behavior in observable and measurable terms to monitor fluctuations over time. The Analysis part is done to determine what triggers these behaviors and what can be changed to make the outcomes more positive.

ABA based therapy includes methods such as Discrete Trial Teaching, Natural Environment Training/Incidental training, Task Analysis Training, use of Positive Reinforcers, etc.
